Rating them is too difficult in the sense that I always watch in order of release.

But I loved Prometheus and Covenant a lot.

I’ve only seen up to Alien 3. My favorite one is the original, Alien!

Ugh, I watched this horror Netflix movie “Open House”, I liked the atmosphere but it really didn’t go anywhere with it and absolutely nothing was explained! it was like a total waste of a movie!

I only watched it cause I like the guy who stars in it and he was wearing black framed glasses which is a turn on for me guys always look better for me when wearing those kind of glasses.

I love the first two Alien films (by Ridley Scott + James Cameron) in equal measure


Was really disappointed that Alien 3 retconned the family dynamic between Ripley, Hicks and Newt and it ruined the film for me. Plus, the whole tone was bizarre.


Alien 4 wasn't even Ripley, it was a clone... Again, weird Though she did have an interesting dynamic with Winona Ryder's character.




I haven't seen this!

First notes:

The opening scenes and the music mesh so well. Also, the difference with the use of nudity compared to US films. It's not thrust in your face when Cillian's character wakes in hospital and he's nude. It's just as natural if he were wearing clothing.

The initial desolation and discovery that he's alone until the small convenience store and Naomi Harris!

Discovering his parents.

I loved the realism of simple things. Like when Jim is crashing cause all he's eaten is sugar, Selena is quick to point that out. Simple but realistic.

Also love the intro to Frank (Brendan Gleeson) and his daughter.

Such a great cast!

EDIT 2:

Frank getting killed, infected.

Almost at the end and love Jim saving Selena and Hannah.

Again the music is haunting, but simple. I really love this take on the undead.

When Jim gets shot, I so thought he was dead! Glad t see he'd recovered.

That scene, I just felt so sorry for Jim; he must have felt so terrified and vulnerable waking up that way. Great moment for setting the scene of isolation


Yes, and it also showed her growing feelings for him to notice something so subtle.

I like the progression of the romance, and once again, not something thrust in your face or even forced, it progressed naturally.

That makes sense! Jim looks undead when he kisses her, full of blood.


I remember listening to the Director's commentary on the DVD, who said he wondered how squeamish the audience found the kiss, knowing that Jim had just fingered Mitchell's eyes into the back of his head.
