I think the kiss was supposed to symbolize the end of innocence and going towards being more of an adult. Plus like someone said it was the last time they would ever see each other.
I used to just love this movie. It's nice to know that at the end Fred goes on to corrupt the next generation. __________________

Wow I remember this movie, I used to watch it all the time when I was little but I don't remember it too much anymore. That is a good analysis Luckylyn64.....I don't even remember the end when they kiss.

I love this movie. I use to watch it all the time. i hated the boyfriend and wished he would go away. Him and his annabella( think thats her name) crap.
