It is really beautiful. Oh goodness. I was able to watch this movie once because I was so young and so emotional when I first saw it. Robin, the wonder in your eyes will be dearly missed. I truly can't believe he's gone. |

John Keating: We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, 'O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?' Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play *goes on* and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?
What will our verse be guys? |
Personally I love all parts of this movie. Any verse, especially "O Captain, My Captain" :) Now I'm sad :( but in that moment he gave to his students some hope :) :(
Ethan Hawke and Robert Sean Leonard were amazing too. They did a great job :) |

O captain my captain and seize the day are really iconic moments that we as fans can safely attribute 90% to RW's charm.

R.I. P. Robin Williams. Oh Captain, my Captain! http://img2-3.timeinc.net/ew/i/2012/...TS-SOCIETY.jpg source |
The end scene moves me to tears every time ... the tribute of the boys standing on their desks. The way he's genuinely touched beyond words, and says softly, Thank you boys ... thank you. He realizes that he did make a difference, and that he will always be a verse in the lives of his students.
This movie is in my top 5 of all time favorite movies. |
I alway though that In DPS we see more about Robin instead the character...he show us his humanity.
The last scene make me cry everytime |
