I just saw the film a while ago. I usually never agree with critics, but I agree with them with this film. The story was a mess at least the Gwyneth Paltrow part of it. Don't get me wrong she did a wonderful job acting wise, but that's about it. I think the whole cast did a good job. The highlight for me though was Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester. I wished they have focus on them and that relationship more. They worked so well of each other. I really hope they work together again. Anyway those are the feeling I came away with.

I've been wanting to see this and the day I planned on going a snowstorm hit. So there went that. I'll have to go sometime. Love the songs in this movie. Plus my favorite country singer Tim McGraw is in this. It reminds me somewhat of "Pure Country".

It frustrates me that "Give In to Me" isn't a duet on the soundtrack, Faith Hill sings it.

Garrett is really a good singer! He did a wonderful job on all the songs.
Yeah, I saw the too when I looked up the soundtrack. They have released a deluxe soundtrack which has that duet and some other songs from the film done by the actors/actresses, but sadly it's only on Itunes.  I don't have that so I'm hoping they will eventually release it on CD.__________________

I really admired his dedication to the role ~ he immersed himself with learning country music and playing the guitar.
I hope there is a CD for the songs from the movie.  __________________
