For anyone who's not seen Forces of Nature (1999), I really recommend it

I forgot how funny it was. Steve Zahn is great (although I can't stand his girlfriend in the movie) and Ben Affleck & Maura Tierney make a sweet couple. -- He's mostly paired with Sandra Bullock, but you can tell that's more of a roadtrip fling than anything.

^^ I only ever saw this once and I remember feeling like why didn't they end up together.

But it was more about friendship, I think just because of the big names of the two leads, there was expectation that they would end up together.

^ I haven't seen Chasing Liberty, but the plot sounds good!

Mandy Moore gave a good performance in A Walk to Remember, so I'd like to see CL sometime when possible.

I was pleased that they didn't end up together

I liked that Ben realized that he really does love his fiancee (Bridget, played by Maura Tierney). Like you said, he had more of a road-trip friendship with Sandra's character Sarah, and his attraction to her was more about the fact that his best friend was urging him on to have one last fling before he settles down with Bridget.

Maybe this can be the romantic comedy movie choice when that watch comes along. I truly recommend the movie. It's a top 5 for me. I rewatch it so much!
