Bridge to Terabithia (2007) #1
Gosh, it seems like yesterday I read this film in 6th grade -- it was one of my favorite books. And I really excited that they are making this into a film -- the trailer brings back so many great memories from the book. Can't wait.

Yes, it is a classic -- I am going to have to re-read it. I remember I cried so hard. Gosh, what a great book! I am excited about revisiting the story from my perspective now -- I just loved Jesse and Leslie and the frienship they formed. It reminds me of my childhood best friend Judson who was my next door neighbor and best friend -- we played everyday and the cool thing is that I will randomly run into when I am home.
Anyway, I can't wait to see this! __________________

It's been a book for years...does it count as a spoiler? Maybe a mod can help out here.
Also--I'm the biggest fan of the book! It made me cry buckets and I can still remember parts of the book. The trailer of the movie makes me nervous as it appears they have Narnia-fied it and that was really only a tiny party of the book. I'm hoping the trailer is just misleading to get the audience in. __________________

the end made me bawl!!!
i dont know if im going to see the movie. It seems like they made it SciFi and I didn't picture either Leslie or Jesse to look that way. __________________

spacekiddet32, , I would not jump to conclusions after seeing the trailer. The story is about a magical place that two kids have created with their imagination and I think the part we see in the trailer is just us being able to see in their minds...really looking forward to it.
And I did not realize Zooey Deschanel from Elf is in this -- I loved her in that film. Can't wait to see this. __________________

Uh oh, I never read the book but my niece and nephews want to see the movie and I was planning on taking them. Is there not a lot of action in it? It did seem like a Narnia type movie. Is the fantasy part only a small portion of the movie or is it larger? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the book the fantasy part is a very small piece of the book. I'm thinking the movie may enlarge that part a bit to get an audience in.
If the reviews are to be believed and it does stay close to the novel then I don't think you or your nieces/nephews will be disappointed in the movie at all. It's a wonderful story about friendship. I would recommend getting the book--as it's an amazing piece of work. One of my personal favorite novels from when I was a kid. __________________
