I don't mind them as a couple. I haven't actually seen them together much. Ben Affleck I'm a big fan of certainly & her music as well. I have seen Jennifer Lopez act in a few films. She did well enough. I have not seen ''Gigli'' that they were in together.

Seeing them together makes me nostalgic for my teen years

. They seem to be in a great place personally now, so I only opened the thread after knowing it is a resumption of a serious relationship.

Plus, I realized there isn't a place to discuss Ben's movies, so this can be that place.

He was such a big name in the 90s.

I never saw GIGLI either

The reviews really put me off.

We've discussed him in the DC Extended Universe forum, since he played ''Batman/Bruce Wayne''. I think that it was the decade after the 1990's where Ben Affleck's celebrity status grew a ton.

It began with Good Will Hunting and then he went into action epics, such as Armageddon... Which I surprisingly liked.

The scene where Bruce Willis makes Ben's character realize he's gonna sacrifice himself and Ben cries is very emotional.

After re-watching J-Lo's first music video If You Had My Love, I've come to the conclusion that:

Love Don't Cost A Thing is still my favorite song of hers and the location is gorgeous
BUT
If You Had My Love has the best dressed J-Lo, best transitions and story telling -- it really welcomes the era of Internet chat rooms and web cams. Ahead of its time.

I have not watched ''Pear Harbor''. I did check it out from this library though have it at home on DVD currently. At some point this year, I'll watch ''Pearl Harbor''. Thanks for posting that image.

I'd recommend it for sure

Ben has the lead role and I think he was very underrated.

Unfortunately its weak spot is the love triangle which I think was deliberately exaggerated into soap opera territory perhaps because they thought "well, TITANIC got famous by selling a fictional romance"

They should have kept it as a romance between two of the characters because once it becomes a triangle, it becomes a little excruciating and almost overshadows the factual War details.

I do like the scenes where Ben's character helps the British. Won't spoil it for you though.
