^yeah they had absolutely no direction before Discovery bought WB, the DCEU was all over the place there was no clear direction and lacked any cohesiveness under the old management when Walter Hamada was still in charge.
But ever since the new CEO David Zaslav took over WBD recently there has been alot of restructuring at WBD especially with DC recently, Vazlav said they will create a DC studio that will focus solely on DC movies and shows and they have a 10 year plan to make the DC movies better, and that there will be more cohesiveness with the DC movies. It looks like WBD finally has a clear idea and direction of what they want to do with DC and I see that as a positive thing. The old management at WB just didn't know what to do with DC and had mismanaged the DCEU, I look forward to seeing how well DC will improve under Zaslav's control.

I highly doubt the new management is any better, they scrap content left and right and just want to reboot everything, that sounds pretty dumb and just like they want to please some investors. I thin kthe DCEU is doomed tbh.

I have more faith in the new management because unlike Hamada who really had no prior experience with running a massive production company like WB, the new CEO actually has many years of experience running production companies, so he is more experienced and seems to understand how to run a success business. WB has billions of $$ in debt because the previous management under Hamada had wasted alot of money making expensive and subpar movies that failed at the box office and releasing expensive movies directly to their streaming platform HBO Max at the same time which was a stupid idea because it meant they had lost alot of revenue at the box office. The previous management really did not know what they were doing, alot of their bad decisions had led to WB losing so much money. The reason why the new management is cancelling so many projects is because they are trying to save money and cut costs, they want to turn their focus back to releasing movies in theaters which is where most of the profit comes from, and making better quality movies. They don't want to spend money on projects that they don't believe in or know that are not going to be profitable. They are ultimately trying to fix the problems that the previous management made, the previous management had ruined & mismanaged the DCEU, so Zaslav is now trying to fix it, and they will focus more on quality rather than quantity, WB lost too much money so now he is trying to save money and cut costs, it's a smart move, I can already tell that Zaslav is a much smarter businessman than the previous management, and he at least seems to have a much clearer idea of what direction he wants DC to go and wants all the DC movies and TV shows to be all connected and wants the DCU to be alot more consistent, which is already giving me more confidence in the new management. The old management really had no clue what they were doing and had no clear direction at all and they really didn't know what to do with DC.

Zaslav literally is a reality tv ceo who said men watch scripted tv and women watch reality tbh and they want to develop their streaming services accordingly. Sorry but i have zewro faith in that sexist man.

Before he was the CEO of Discovery, Zaslav worked for NBC and was in charge of content distribution for NBC TV including all scripted and non-scripted shows for the network, so he has a lot more experience dealing with production companies and distribution. And he wants to merge HBO Max with Discovery+ because he knows that it would be cheaper and more profitable because no one wants to pay for multiple different streaming services when they could just pay for 1 streaming service that has all the shows that people want to watch, it's smart. The new management has said that they will combine the best of both HBO Max and Discovery+ into the new streaming service, so they will only keep the popular shows from both streaming services and cancel the shows that are not popular, it's a smart business strategy.
While I agree that Zaslav seems rather sexist, but it doesn't mean he isn't a good businessman, alot of the decisions he has made are actually quite smart from a business and financial standpoint. And you can't deny the fact that the old management made a lot of very bad and stupid mistakes and decisions that have caused alot of financial problems for WB, and the DCEU is a total mess because of poor management from Hamada and his team. I think by the time Zaslav and Discovery had acquired WB, the company was already in a mess and in alot of debt, so now Zaslav is trying to do damage control as best he can, it's not an easy job trying to fix problems that other people created. Frankly I don't like Zaslav as a person, but as a businessman I have confidence in what he and his team are trying to do.

And it's ok if you disagree, everyone has different opinions.

Pp^they lost money in recent weeks as the merger was taking affect, there were alot of changes at the company so that tends to cause problems, it's common with new mergers. Also Zaslav has made alot of big changes at WBD since the merger and these changes have scared alot of investors hence their shares fell and hence they lost money. I think alot of people even the company's own executives were surprised at how heavy-handed Zaslav is as a CEO, he definitely seems alot more strict and no-nonsense, but alot of his decisions are actually very smart business-wise. I think people just need abit more time to get used to how he does things. But the truth is WB has been losing alot of money in recent years before Discovery even bought the company.

^I heard about the delays for Aquaman 2 as well, it's disappointing but they are currently doing quite alot of reshoots for the movie so it's understandable that they need more time to finish the movie before they can release it. I've heard rumors that they are expanding Ben's role as Batman in the movie and removing all of Amber Heard's scenes.
Honestly, I'd rather they take their time to make a good movie, than to rush it and end up with a mediocre movie, that was the mistake the previous management made with alot of the earlier DCEU movies.

^yeah I just read about these rumors about the future of Aquaman and other future DCEU movies, but I also read James Gunn's recent tweet addressing these rumors, and he said some of it are true and some of them are not, so we will just have to wait and see which movies will go ahead and which ones will be scrapped.

It'd be very dumb to end the most successful character of the DCEU.
