Ladies and gentlemen, it's that time of the year once again. It's the 4th Annual FanForum Movie Awards, where posters have the opportunity to reward what they believe was the best in movies in 2004. This marks the first year without a juggernaut called "The Lord of the Rings," so it should be interesting how the nominations are divided this time around.

There will be brief pauses between each nomination announcement, so you can discuss amongst yourselves how good or how bad the nominations are this year.

I am pleased to introduce to you the two talented actors who will announce this year's nominees. Both actors will appear in Ridley Scott's epic "Kingdom of Heaven" later this year. Ladies and gentlemen, let's welcome Orlando Bloom and Liam Neeson!

The supporting categories should not be thought of as minor or secondary categories. These supporting players add more flavor to a movie. In fact, some supporting characters have gone on to become some of the most popular characters.

The nominees for Best Supporting Actress are...

Cate Blanchett
"The Aviator"

Kirsten Dunst
"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"

Laura Linney
"Kinsey"

Virginia Madsen
"Sideways"

Natalie Portman
"Closer"

The nominees for Best Supporting Actor are...

Alan Alda
"The Aviator"

Thomas Haden Church
"Sideways"

Morgan Freeman
"Million Dollar Baby"

Clive Owen
"Closer"

Patrick Wilson
"The Phantom of the Opera"

If the supporting players add spice to a movie, the lead actors are the foundation upon which the film is built. The movie focuses on them, so if they don't perform well, then that movie becomes weak.

The nominees for Best Actress are...

Natalie Portman
"Garden State"

Imelda Staunton
"Vera Drake"

Hilary Swank
"Million Dollar Baby"

Kate Winslet
"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"

Kate Winslet
"Finding Neverland"

Before I announce the nominees in this category, I'd like to wish my friend Liam good luck, as he may be nominated in this category for his excellent work in "Kinsey."

The nominees for Best Actor are...

Jim Carrey
"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"

Johnny Depp
"Finding Neverland"

Leonardo DiCaprio
"The Aviator"

Jamie Foxx
"Ray"

Paul Giamatti
"Sideways"

Looks like this is the year of The Aviator.

The Incredibles received 3 nominations!

Now the really hard part ... picking just one.

Huzzah for all the Eternal Sunshine love!

Although the lack of John Kerry love saddens me. Im a bit angry with myself for forgetting to promote it. That was a great documentary that got lost in the shuffle of politics.
