There was a flashback of younger Damon & Stefan. It was weird b/c they used a child to play Stefan but left Ian to play teen Damon. They did a good job making Ian look much younger but I still think maybe they should've gone w/a teen actor.

^ Exactly it made people start to question the age difference that was previously established. Damon's not supposed to be that much older than Stefan but it was just jarring

yeah I didnt think Damon was that much older than Stefan ...I wish they had someone younger play young Damon ..someone who is 13 or 14 ...

^^ Stefan looked like Damon's child there. I wonder if that was the plan all along, to not get any younger actor to play Damon.

Yeah, I've seen gifs and it really looks weird. like he is the father or uncle. There is supposed to be like 7 years difference at most between them, no?

Yeah supposedly Stefan was 10 there & Damon was supposed to be either 17 or 18. But yeah maybe they were going for a father figure type situation since we know Guisseppe wasn't much of a father to them Damon had to sort of take care of Stefan.
