Well Jesse's been on the show for a few years now. What does everyone think of the job he's done so far?

I personally like the job he's done. I like the character and the way Jesse portrays him.

Does anyone have a listing of his stage credits? "Rent" was mentioned in at least one of the articles posted on the news thread. What else has he done?

I saw the episode of X-Files that Jesse Martin was in a few weeks ago where he played a baseball playing alien. I missed a whole chunk of the storyline because it was so distracting seeing him as someone other than Det. Green.

Last night I saw a commercial for the "A Christmas Carol" in which Jesse plays the Ghost of Christmas Present. It's going to air Sunday, November 28th on NBC. There's more information about it at nbc.com.

added 11/22 (from tvguide.com):

Another year, another Scrooge? It's true, but hold off from humbugging NBC's extravagantly musical new version of A Christmas Carol (November 28, 9 pm/ET), adapted from the stage show that ran for years at Madison Square Garden. Among the pluses: Robert Halmi Sr.'s deluxe production values, Alan Menken's robust score and a marvelously hammy cast led by Kelsey Grammer's crabbed miser, as well as Jason Alexander, Jane Krakowski and Law & Order's Jesse L. Martin returning to their Broadway roots as ghosts with tuneful purpose. It's hard not to sing this Carol's praises.
