Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper and Ashton Kutcher are in talks to star in "Valentine's Day." Director Garry Marshall is set to helm the film which is about five interconnecting stories set during a Valentine's Day in Los Angeles. It's like "Crash" minus the drama plus romantic comedy equals "Valentine's Day." Here's the various story lines according to The Hollywood Reporter: -- Roberts is an army officer on leave from Iraq on a flight to L.A. Cooper, on the same flight, is a gay man whose lover is a closeted football player. -- Kutcher is an owner of a flower shop who proposes to his girlfriend (Alba), only to realize he is in love with his close friend, played by Garner, who discovers her boyfriend (Dempsey) is married. -- MacLaine plays Roberts' mother, a happy retiree who reveals to her husband a long-ago affair. -- Hathaway is an assistant working at the biggest talent agency in town and dating a mailroom assistant; Biel is a publicist unlucky in love (is there any other kind?) who has no date on Valentine's Day. And there are more major roles left to be cast! There's the gay football player (Dane), MacLaine's husband, the mailroom worker, a talent agent and a young boy looking to give his crush some flowers. Katherine Fugate wrote the first draft, while Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein scripted the latest.

Garry Marshall must watch a lot of Grey’s Anatomy, for today he bolstered his already massive and very impressive Valentine’s Day cast with not only McDreamy, but also McSteamy.For those who don’t watch Grey’s, that’s Patrick Dempsey and Eric Dane, two of the hunky doctors on the medical show. And they’ll line up alongside the already-cast likes of (deep breath) Julia Roberts, Emma Roberts, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, and Shirley MacLaine.That’s quite an attractive cast. Seriously, this movie’s going to be so good-looking you won’t know whether to watch it or hump it. Anyway, Dane will play a quarterback who’s not sure if he should retire. Dempsey will play another doctor – this time an obstetrician who’s cheating on his wife with Jennifer Garner’s character, unbeknownst to her.
