Getting sick of seeeing aliens running around attacking people. It's getting boring. How many films has it been so far?

It's one of my favourite types of movies
I'm confused by Noomi Rapace's absence as well, I really wanted to know what happened next, but apparently due to some of the negative reception Prometheus got, they're now going back to a more Aliens based movie I like them both, sure, but I was curious about the engineers! __________________

There have been six Alien movies altogether, the four Alien films and the two Alien v Predator movies. All of the sucked except for Ridley Scott's Alien and James Cameron's Aliens, which are classics. The original concept for the third Alien movie was going to be similar to Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers, with Colonial Marines in armored battle suits fighting the aliens. But the CGI technology at the time wasn't available, and the cost would've been too high, so they ended up making Alien 3 the mess that we got stuck with.
The problem with Prometheus is that it didn't make sense. Nothing about the movie aligned with Ridley Scott's Alien, and much of the movie contradicted the continuity of the first film. We never found out how the space jockey or the alien derelict ship ended up on LV-426, because the planet in Prometheus was totally different. And the life cycle of the alien is also different in Prometheus. We know from what happened to Kane that the alien bursts out of a host in a larval form, and later grows into a fully grown form. But at the end of Prometheus, the alien emerges from the body of the engineer fully grown? And what was that giant octopus thing that the engineer was fighting with that implanted the embryo in him? What about the face-huggers? Where did they come from? If that alien goop created the face-huggers, and then they created the aliens, that might've made sense, but as it stands, nothing about Prometheus made sense. I really wish Hollywood would've stuck to the Dark Horse Comics series, Aliens, which picked up after the events of James Cameron's movie. Ripley and Hicks are involved, Newt is a teenager, and the aliens are slowly making their way across the colonies towards Earth. Dark Horse also did the Aliens vs. Predator series, but it was way better than those stupid movies. Aliens vs. Predator was set in the same future universe as the first two Alien movies, after the events of James Cameron's Aliens. The problem with the Alien series is that it lost touch with what made the first two movies great. The look of the universe that Alien and Aliens exist in was created by Ron Cobb, Syd Mead, and H.R. Giger. Ron Cobb designed the Nostromo and its interior, along with all of the equipment, the interior of the Sulaco, and the Hadley's Hope colony on LV-426. H.R. Giger created the alien, the space jockey, and the derelict alien ship. Syd Mead created the exterior of the Sulaco, the dropship, and the reactor at the Hadley's Hope colony, and both Cobb and Mead created the weapons and vehicles. James Cameron came up with most of the early sketches for the weapons and spacecraft that Cobb and Mead created, and Stan Winston created the alien queen and the aliens at the colony. It's interesting because Ron Cobb worked on both Alien and Aliens, and Syd Mead worked on Aliens and Blade Runner. I don't know who did the designs for Outland, with Sean Connery, but all four movies look like they could've existed in the same universe. Sean Connery in Outland: Sigourney Weaver in Alien: The top picture is the computer screens from the Nostromo in Alien, and the bottom pic is the computer screens of the LAPD flying car("Spinner") from Blade Runner. The M-41A pulse rifle from Aliens: Deckard's M2019-PKD Detective Special from Blade Runner: __________________

Aliens 4 was the only one of those movies I enjoyed. The rest suck worse than a thirsty vampire. Outland with Sean Connery was a good movie.
