Thanks, Rita. I agree, Fassy's performance as David and Walter are my favorite thing about Alien: Covenant.

The fight scene he had with himself was awesome. I never saw a guy kick his own ass.
Funny thing is, I watched that scene never once thinking I was watching anything other than Walter fighting David, like it was two different actors. __________________

well, there are many movies where that happens. Like Cap in Endgame. But I know what you mean.

I didn't see Endgame, but I heard enough about it to dislike it. As usual, Marvel Studios mucked up by cramming too much stuff into one film making it an incoherent, incomprehensible mess. They should never have messed around with time travel, and they should've simplified the story by remembering that Adam Warlock takes down Thanos, no one else.

It was one of the better MCU films.

Really? Everyone I spoke to said it was a confusing mess. The point is, Endgame had nothing to do with the Thanos storyline, either the Infinity Gauntlet, or the original storyline from the 1970s. I'd have preferred to see Adam Warlock turn Thanos into a stone statue and give the six Infinity Gems to five of the Avengers(he'd keep the Soul Gem) for safekeeping, taking on the role the Elders originally had.

Story: The King died and then the Queen died. Plot: The King died from cholera and then the Queen died from grief. MCU: The King died from syphilis and the Queen was beheaded. Change the particulars of the story and the story makes no sense. And remember that the changes made were not for narrative or adaptive reasons, they were made for Hollywood and ideological reasons. Any screenwriting professor would've said that Edgar Wright's Ant-Man should've been disqualified for inclusion since it is incompatible with the Avengers storyline. That Adam Warlock should take precedent in the Thanos storyline since he's the main character. And that if Marvel excludes those characters from their own storylines it makes it difficult to impossible to incorporate them into the MCU later since their storylines have already been given away to other characters, leaving them with no story to tell. Pick a storyline from the comics and tell it. Don't think you can tell the same story while rearranging the characters and plotlines. __________________

Are you guys quite finished? You're not going to agree on this one, so maybe let it go.
Anyway, there was no way they going to do a comic-accurate version of the story, so we might as well take the movie on its own terms. It was a lot better than the comic book anyway. The Infinity comics were awful. __________________
