Jaws was a shark, sum1.

But it was also the name of the assassin/henchman who worked for Karl Stromberg in The Spy Who Loved Me.

Fun fact: The main villain in that movie was supposed to be Ernst Bloefeld and SPECTRE, but due to a dispute over film rights between Bond producer Albert Broccoli and Kevin McClory(who co-wrote Thunderball with Ian Fleming) they weren't allowed to use them. McClory(who's Irish, by the way

) claimed sole ownership of SPECTRE and Bloefeld, which is bull

since the name Bloefeld was based on an acquaintance of Fleming's named Tom Bloefeld who attended the same gentlemen's club as Fleming. As for SPECTRE, several Fleming biographers have correctly noted that Fleming was the actual creator of the organization, as McClory's original idea was for the Russians to be the villains in Thunderball. Here's the memo from Ian Fleming to co-writers McClory and Jack Whittingham:

My suggestion on (b) is that SPECTRE, short for Special Executive for Terrorism, Revolution and Espionage, is an immensely powerful organisation armed by ex-members of SMERSH, the Gestapo, the Mafia, and the Black Tong of Peking, which is placing these bombs in N.A.T.O. bases with the objective of then blackmailing the Western powers for £100 million or else.

. But rather than go into a lengthy legal battle with the prick, Broccoli changed the story and created the villain Stromberg, which was typical of all post-Connery Bond film villains. Thankfully, they finally got the rights to Bloefeld and SPECTRE back for the Daniel Craig films, although if you look carefully at the opening teaser sequence in For Your Eyes Only, the villain who tries to kill Roger Moore's James Bond in the remote-controlled helicopter and whom Moore subsequently drops into a factory smokestack looks a lot like Bloefeld, right down to the white cat.

They just couldn't have Bond actually call him Bloefeld.

Yeah, but it's a shame that Moore's Bond wasn't able to have any SPECTRE storylines, aside from that subtle opening sequence in For Your Eyes Only.

And yes, FF is slow for me as well.
