Wolverine wasn't "James Howlett" until recent times. He was Logan.

 talking to somebody that doesn't know Comics  I know only randomly that it's James Howlett - believe Origins had James/Jimmy but aware mainly just Logan__________________

Wolverine went by "Logan" for the longest time because he lost his memories. It was a way for the comic writers to make his character mysterious and intriguing.
 But as time went on and his character became more fleshed out, you saw more of his backstory come to light, like the fact that his claws are actually bone once the adamantium covering is stripped from them. When Wolverine recently recovered his past memories, the name James Howlett was revealed to be his actual name, which you figure had to happen sooner or later. People typically put "Logan" as his middle name now. James "Logan" Howlett. And yeah, Sarah. You mod this board but know very little about the comics?  __________________

I don't recognize the whole Howlett thing, seeing as it came out in 21st century comics and I consider 21st century Marvel comics to have zero validity. Wolverine's origin as it was developed in comics in the past 17 years is something I reject. To me he's just Logan and always will be. For his origin, I go by the '90s comics.
