That really isn't a recommendation for the show. The only thing I can remember watching that ever came close to putting me to sleep was Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Superhumanly awful film.

Damn, sum1. And I actually preferred Revenge of the Sith to the other prequel movies.

I'm trying to fit The Gifted in with all the other shows I watch. It's not easy because I have to keep up with everyone's conversations on all these different boards.

The Phantom Menace is the only Star Wars Prequel with any good points. When I saw Attack of the Clones I expected to see something on the Phantom Menace's level and it was way worse. Then when I saw Revenge of the Sith I expected to see something on the level of Attack of the Clones and it was way worse. I am still amazed at how Lucas mastered the art of making a bad movie, a stunningly awful movie, as demonstrated in Revenge of the Sith. I could go on for pages on what was wrong with Revenge of the Sith. But because I'm merciful, I won't.

The Phantom Menace it for kids That's the one I used when my boys were little to introduce them to the universe.

Yes it's for kids, but it has Qui Gon and it has Padme before she got destroyed by Lucas. The other two Prequels have zero humanity and zero feeling. And they're basically for kids too.

To be honest, the only part of Phantom Menace I liked was Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Darth Maul. The rest of that movie I just couldn't stand. Jake Lloyd as Anakin was embarrassing, and Jar Jar Binks was an insultingly bad character. Aside from people seeing him as a racist character that seemed to reflect offensive stereotypes, he was just an overly silly character all around. It also had the misfortune of coming out two months after The Matrix came out and revolutionized science fiction filmmaking. Even George Lucas himself later apologized for The Phantom Menace, admitting that "it wasn't the exciting space adventure fans wanted me to make. They wanted The Matrix."

Yeah, Kid Anakin and Jar Jar were awful, but Hayden's Anakin in the later two Prequels was worse. And they destroyed Padme in the later Prequels. Not to mention getting Yoda and Palpatine to act the idiot.

My problem with Padme was that the surprise had already been ruined before the movie came out. Did anyone really not know that Padme(Natalie Portman) was actually the servant girl and the girl calling herself Padme(played by Keira Knightly) was a decoy? That cat got let out of the bag before the title credit rolled.

There was a lot more to her than that twist. Portman did a really good job in the first Prequel.

I agree. But the story she was put in really didn't serve her well in the following films.
