Well, as much as I love Famke, the creators of the X-Men franchise gave up on Jean practically from day one. :( The Jean Grey from the original trilogy was not the one I grew up reading in the comics. They did even worse to Scott Summers. Making everything so Wolverine-centric at the expense of the other characters was their undoing. I still think that Sophie and Tye's Jean and Scott do the characters much better justice, even with their flaws.
