Has anybody here seen the 2015 Fantastic Four film? It was beyond dreadful. It was really really crap. I'd like to share my dislike of it with somebody.

It's goddamn dreadful. And the director tried to blame its crappiness on studio interference, but that just doesn't wash, because EVERYTHING about the film is crap. It's crap from the ground up.

I watched it several months ago and I didn't think the first half was so bad. Overall, it was just average to me. I also think the main characters were miscast, except for maybe Kate Mara.

Everybody (in the 2015 film) was miscast. I found the whole thing to be torture, though it did get worse in the second half. It's like they set out to make as bad a film as they could, in every single way. And of course, it was a deliberately revisionist take, which was pretentious, disrespectful and stupid.

Those were juvenile and silly, but good-natured and kind of fun and they were a LOT better than the 2015 one. Chris was definitely good in that role.

Josh Trank is a hack who got lucky with Chronicle. And the whole fake outrage by him and others in Hollywood over fans being upset by the casting of Michael B Jordan as Johnny Storm was total BS. Jordan likely only got that role because he previously worked with Trank on Chronicle. But the truth is none of the casting was right. If you're going to make Johnny Storm black, then why have his sister, Susan Storm, still be white?

And the guys they got to play Reed Richards and Ben Grimm looked like they could've been in The Hunger Games movies.

? I really hope they give the film rights to Fantastic Four back to Marvel and just stick to X-Men.

Of course, I'd rather the MCU use the original Human Torch, Jim Hammond, since he was briefly seen in his glass tube at the Stark Expo in Captain America: The First Avenger.

I actually think Hammond is cooler than Storm. He's also a lot more powerful.

Chris was good, but I wasn't too fond of Jessica. She looked all wrong for the role. She's too short, voluptuous, and baby-faced, and Susan Storm is taller and more statuesque. Also, the fake blonde wig and blue contacts that Jessica had to wear to look like Sue just seemed... weird.
