I don't see why Simon Williams can't be in the MCU now. They almost brought him in in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

I don't know why either, but that's Hollywood for you. Look at how Fox wasted Alex Summers. Does it make sense to have Polaris on The Gifted and no Havok?

There's no sign they've given up on Simon Williams yet. They just recently brought him back in the comics.

Oh, I know he's still in the comics. But I don't trust Marvel Studios yet. If and when they bring Simon into the MCU, it'll probably be after Phase 4, when they recast and retcon stuff, apparently. When Feige says that the Avengers and the MCU will be changed forever after that, I'm taking it that they're gonna refresh.

It's not a case of him being still in the comics. It's case of them bringing him back in the comics this year after he'd vanished three years ago.

Oh, I know, but he did that before. Simon "died" and turned into pure ionic energy until Wanda resurrected him. And he died way before that as well, back in the 60's. Dude is resilient.

Yeah, he's had more resurrections than Jean Grey.

Well, I think Jean is still the queen of resurrection. But I'm not sure if Simon can die, to be honest. He just becomes pure energy or something. But I'm glad the comics have kept him around. I just wish they'd give him a better storyline. I really liked him back in the 80's. And just get him with Wanda already. I don't really like her and Vision.

I was okay with Vision and Wanda until they did that thing where she used her hex power to get pregnant and have her twins. Then they had someone kidnap Vison and took him apart, then put him back together again, and he was even colder and more unemotional after that. I lost interest by then.

That was John Byrne who kidnapped Vision. Pissed me off.

Really? Damn. That was his stint on West Coast Avengers, right? That's when they brought back Jim Hammond, the original(and still my favorite) Human Torch.

Yeah. He brought back the Human Torch after he retconned away the 1970s story that said Vision was the Human Torch's body. That pissed me off. Byrne is a talented writer, but he can get a bit arrogant messing around with stuff that's stood the test of time and generally screwing things around. He ruined Vision utterly in his stint on the Avengers books and it took years for Marvel to repair the damage. He also mucked around with Wanda a lot and retconned too many things for my liking. Nonetheless, his run (drawing and writing West Coast Avengers and writing Avengers) , included a lot of high quality stuff. It was a pretty strong run. I just wish he had more respect for what others had done before him.

Yeah, I agree to a certain extent. But I actually did prefer Jim and Vision being two different androids because I never really bought that storyline about Vision being made from Jim Hammond's body given how different their respective abilities were. It seemed like that was a retcon in itself due to Marvel having made a new Human Torch with Johnny Storm and not knowing what to do with their original one. But I think it could've been done better. They didn't have to be so convoluted with the retconning.
Oh, and here's the stuff on Jessica Drew: Quote:
