Wasn't grey for long. And no it wasn't published on January 1991. The cover date for comics is always about two months later than the publication date. so it'd have been published about November 1990. The Hulk turned to green merged form somewhere around then.

It's still the early 90s. And yes, Hulk went back to green for the Infinity Gauntlet storyline, which was later in 1991. But why can't you just admit that I was right and you were wrong about this one?

OMG, the return of the 2099 universe... again.

Thanks, dragonfire! The 2099 universe was so... 90s.

Yep, the 2099 universe is what we all incorrectly assumed the 21st century would be like in the 80s and 90s.

Nope. The 2099 universe is what we thought he END of the 21st century would be like. We'll have to get to the end to see if it's an accurate prediction.

Well, the culmination of the 21st century. It was clear that the 2099 universe was taking its cues from what 80s and 90s pop culture was imagining the 21st century would be, from Blade Runner, to Akira, to Ghost In The Shell, to Total Recall, and everything else.

It was certainly very '90s. I got a great kick out of X-Men 2099 back then.

Thanks, dragonfire. I see that Sony is just doing their own thing.

I agree, sum1. Too bad 90s aesthetic was better than the actual 21st century.
