Yeah, I feel like that's been known for a while. Apparently they're also thinking of adding a bunch of stuff from the "Old man Wolverine" storyline to this film.

Hugh talked a little bit about his last stint as Wolverine yesterday in an interview.
He said that he's now on a diet and I think he just started training for playing Wolverine. He said he can't even drink milk so ... that's pretty intense. That was a video interview I saw. Also, in an interview with Huff Post yesterday, he said: "Weirdly, I'm really excited about shooting it. I feel great enthusiasm," he said of the untitled Wolverine sequel. "I suppose it's denial -- like the football player who announces their retirement before their last season -- and so I'm really looking forward to it. But, I know its not over yet! I still got a lot of 4 o'clock mornings and a hell of a lot of egg white omelettes and steamed chicken to have, and all of that." Jackman insists we come back and ask him this same question in five years after he's "given up," but is truly ready to hang up his claws. "I feel very blessed that I loved playing this part," he said. "The last 'Wolverine' and that last 'X-Men' ['Days of Future Past'] were maybe two of the best and I feel like, hopefully, we'll do it again with this last one." Also, Hugh was asked this: Wall Street Journal: You’ve announced your final Wolverine movie. What are your thoughts about your legacy as one of the biggest comic-book characters on film? Hugh Jackman: I don’t think about it like that. I really don’t. Right now I’m probably more excited about what I’m going to shoot with that film and just getting through that. I think creatively, or actually anything in life, you don’t look back too long. I mean you can pause for a second and look back and be grateful for perhaps all the people who helped you, but I think if you spend too much time looking back, you miss the opportunity to just keep expanding. I feel really blessed. It’s been an amazing character. It’s been the foundation of my career. I wouldn’t have been able to do [humanitarian] projects like [Laughing Man Worldwide and Dukale's Dream] probably without it. So in that way, I’m really excited. When “Birdman” came out, they said, “Oh, are you worried?” I said no, no. I’m fine. I’m sure in 10 years, if some kid comes up to me and says, “Is that Wolverine?” I’ll be like, “Yeah, thanks, cool man.” I really am very grateful for it. __________________

The Old Man Logan storyline is (while admittedly not something I'm too familiar with as I'm not up to date on a number of different X-Men comics) to the best of my knowledge something that's set 40-50 years in the future. There's something about the USA being conquered by a bunch of supervillains such as Magneto, Dr Doom, and Red Skull, involves Wolverine and Hawkeye working together, and something by Mysterio. I'm not entirely sure on what they'd incorporate as a number of people involved seem to potentially belong to other Marvel film franchises though. Also, I've heard rumours they might integrate parts of the "Death of Wolverine" storyline too, and introduce his son Daken, and Laura. Edit: As well, there's some speculation Sabretooth and/or Yukio might come back too. Last edited by Northern_xTC; 06-06-2015 at 01:27 PM |

Wolverine and Hawkeye working together I'm game, would have to have Jeremy play Hawkeye again like he does in Avengers though. Would be a perfect crossover

Still a long wait ahead but for sure by next year we'll get more news and (hopefully) some BTS.
