No, the comics did as well, and I could be wrong but I think they're still married of course so far from what I have seen it seems ever since Hickman's X-Men they been more in the background kind of playing second fiddle to Apocalypse in the comic they're in.

It also seems in the comic they're in Gambit is treated as a joke, like he's the punching bag in the comic so to speak.

Now as for animated well Rogue in X-Men Evolution had it bad for Cyclops.

I meant outside of the comics, guys. I know Rogue and Gambit had a thing in the comics. But the only medium outside of the comics that had them as a couple was the early 90s cartoon. By the end of the 90s they were broken up and they were implying that Rogue and Bobby were about to become a couple, hence the reason why the 2000 X-Men movie made them a couple.

Evolution Rogue had a thing for Cyclops? Of course, why not? Every other girl on the team does.

Oh, yeah, and if what I read is true then it seems if the show had gotten a S5 with Jean as Dark Phoenix, they was gonna have Rogue and Cyclops get together which it wouldn't been the first time they removed Jean for Rogue/Cyclops.

Anyway, make Gambit watch X-Men Evolution where he is hardly in it, and he works for Magneto.
