No, it's been growing for some time now. Hollywood has forgotten what made it special in the first place. Trying to become something it's not because they're trying to follow a cultural movement is going to ironically end up destroying themselves.

Have you seen the Best Picture winners and nominees of the past ten years? Most of them are forgettable. People remember the blockbusters and Best Picture winners of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s a lot more. Modern cinema started going downhill after Twilight. I just hope that European cinema has had better luck.
