You didn't like the Archangel thing, sum1? I thought that was a little extreme myself, turning him into one of Apocalypse's horsemen. But he's still basically Marvel's version of Hawkman.

Archangel was better than plain Angel, but Warren was still Warren -rich pretty boy with no personality.

Yeah, but his family was a big contributor to Xavier's school He paid for a lot of the X-Men's stuff. And he was the public face of the school for a time. I guess he served a purpose.

Oh yeah, and he was one more guy who kept hitting on Jean while she was with Scott. Seriously, I sometimes think the writers were all on drugs.

Alex, you said the character in Apocalypse wasn't Warren. He certainly seemed like Warren -cocky blond guy with wings whose wings get replaced by Apocalypse with metal wings that fire metal feather darts. If he wasn't Warren, who was he?

Well, it wouldn't be the first time they had a character with a power similar to a regular character. Warren Worthington's Angel was seen in X-3: The Last Stand, so he was established already in the original trilogy. The Archangel in Apocalypse was a cage fighter, and his name was never revealed, but it's obvious he wasn't a rich millionaire or else he wouldn't be where he was. They probably knew they were going to kill Archangel off so they decided to make him a nameless winged mutant. I'm guessing it's like what they did with Emma Frost in First Class and the "Emma" character with Scott Summers in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

I guess they figured they had to kill at least one of the Four Horsmen. Storm, Magneto, and Psylocke all managed to survive. It's a shame they didn't use Warren though, because that was one of his signature storylines. He was given even less respect than Scott.
