What is Wentworth? You're not the first person to mention it and, usually, I know the TV shows by name, if not by personal experience... But, this one? I have no idea what it's about or who's in it.

Would I Lie to You has the perfect mix of permanents, as far as I'm concerned. Between Rob Brydon being such a gleeful super-ham, Lee Mack's faster-than-lightening repartee and David Mitchell's "any excuse to go on a rant"... It's lovely.

It's an Australian Tv Show. I stumbled across it on Netflix Wentworth)

It's about a women's prison and the guards.. It draws you in. Full of a lot of "omg they went there" moments. It's dark and tells a good story. It's like a awesome psychological thriller . There are so many twists and turns. It's Easily comparable to Orange is the New Black but imo Wentworth is sooooo much better.

Hard to know for sure, isn't it?
I've been a fan of British Comedy since I was a child. I had PBS to thank for that. Every Saturday for 2 to 3 hours, they had British Comedy Night. Some of my favorites included "Mind Your Language", "No Place Like Home", "Allo, Allo", "Are You Being Served?" (my late father loved that show) & "Red Dwarf".

^ I'm a huge fan of British comedy, but I came rather late to it. As a French Canadian kid, the language was a barrier at first, of course. And then the bits of me that aren't originally from France are Irish and Scottish, so I was a bit... anti-British for a while. Never actively or anything, but I sorta figured my ancestors all had a common enemy, you know?

Anyway, like I said, I think I saw Peter's Friends at some point (it would have been in French, so I didn't realize it was British ) and the rest is history.

Thanks for the info, Kali. I should have realized it was on Netflix. Like, that would totally explain why I've never even heard of it or haven't seen it advertised or anything. It sounds interesting.

i am waiting impatiently for Walking Dead Season 7. that ending of SE6 still really annoys me, as they should have shown who Negan killed instead of making us wait all year. grrrr. Rick and company are gonna bring the pain in the end though.

c'mon TWD!!!

Sunny, Wentworth is actually aired in a few countries, it's not an original Netflix show so you may be able to find it.

I see Wentworth is available in Canada on Netflix, but since I used to actually work in a prison, I don't really like "re-visiting" the environment again, I tend to avoid prison movies or tv shows.

Totally understand that. I imagine that tv prison, no matter how hard they try will never be as bad as the real thing.

It's supposed to be airing on tv in a few countries.
