So the C series becomes yet another thing created in Quebec, with Quebec government money, but that will make money for a foreign company. Awesome.

It sure is and perhaps Airbus can help streamline production and better sale the C Series

Airbus had a similar design of it's own before committing to the A318.

Yeah, but the point remains the same, doesn't it? Taxpayer money goes into innovation, foreign government imposes prohibitive tax on final product, product is given to another foreign company, whatever money is made belongs to foreign economy.

It sure does. Bombardier is thinking of assembling the C Series in Alabama to avoid tariffs by the US Chamber and the Trump administration. One potential issue with the purchase of the C Series is the any growth above the C-300 my likely be stopped because it would be competitive with the A320.

Where the C Series ends up doesn't really matter, though, if it's outside Canada. It might has been be binned if that's what happens.
