Tea Lovers #3 ~ The Rare Occasion That Tea is the Perfect Temperature to Drink All at Once

Hope no one minds me doing this.

It seems we already had a title anyway, right?

I'm enjoying a nice glad of cold Midsummer Night's Dream.

Thanks for starting the new thread Sunny

I'm trying my best to finish a cup of lavender. Also trying to remember the benefits outweigh the taste

I can imagine. They a rose/chocolate tea thing at David's tea for Valentine's Day and I couldn't stomach it, even for the chocolatey bits. I really don't love flowery teas.

Is there a particular reason why it has to be in tea form? Can't you get it in those empty pill casings?

It's got something to do with settling & coating the stomach & to help the acid from coming back up when I'm sick...when the dietitian & herbalist first recommended it to me. They told me drinking it was best and to,work my way up to full strength. I haven't quite made it to full strength yet and probably never will if I can't find a good dilute for the taste.

Look, I'm no doctor or dietitian and Lord knows I'm the first one to bow down to people who have actual expertise in that field... But, when you're gonna upchuck, is there really anything in the world that's gonna make it so you can separate which parts of your stomach contents come up?

I could understand if it was a matter of settling your stomach or even the bit about coating your stomach.

But making keep the acids behind? Is that even physically possible?

I've said the same thing to both of them. In my personal experience so far nope, doesn't keep it down at all but it dosen't burn quite as bad as it used to when it comes up.. Maybe it works for some people but so far the only benefits I get are stopping/easing the nausea a little easier and faster then the avatian pills have ever worked.

Well, hey, if you've seen the difference, I have to give this one to the doctors.

If it works, I say chug down that perfume and chug it hard.

How much of it do you have to drink?

I ask because my remedy for colds and such is apple cider vinegar, and that stuff is rank. It's not "drinking perfume" gross, but it is actual vinegar. So I just gulp it down as fast as I can before rincing it out with whatever else.

Which, come to think of it, is probably not the thing to do if the lavendar is meant to coat anything in your digestive track. Hm. Can you eat something after?

My mom drinks apple cider vinegar when her blood sugar gets a little high, a small shot glass full. The faces she makes are pretty funny.

The lavender tea, I'm supposed to to try for 3 cups a day during treatments and not eat directly after drinking it but after a few minutes eating is fine.

Gah. The things we go through for our health, huh?

I think I've officially run out of things I can think of to make this whole lavendar tea thing go down easier for you. Sorry it wasn't any help, in the end.

The good news is that it's not forever, but I'm pulling for you, because that sounds like quite the challenge.

(BTW, "drinking perfume" is gonna stick with me forever.)
