So, I had a weirdish conversation with my Mum yesterday, and it went like this:
Mum: I want to leave Bangkok. Me: Well I don't. Mum: Doesn't it bug you that you don't have guys' company round here? (She assumes that the only reason I don't is because the whole if-you're-Jewish-you-only-date-Jewish-people thing  )Me: Nah not really. So then she started going on about her co-worker's son whom she wants me to meet and blah blah blah.... Great.  __________________

I'm not technically a part of the GLBT community, but my mom is. So, I just wanted to pop in and show my support for everyone here.Actually, I'm majoring in Social Work right now, and we had to an agency visit for my intro class, and I did mine at this local GLBT drop-in center. It was SO fun, and I was thinking of possibly focusing on personal counseling for the GLBT community, but I'm not sure. I also want to work in Geriatrics because it's the most neglected area of the occupation. It's a hard decision, so I'm not exactly sure where I want to focus. Anyway .. I'm Maryalice. It's nice to meet all of you. __________________
