Me too! Actually, I will be eating it for lunch today.

I like sundried tomatoes too, but only when it's cooked with pasta.

Jo, why are Japanese/Korean thick noodles a luxury? Those things come in packages just like the instant noodles. Less than $1 a package. Do you mean when you eat them at a Japanese restaurant?

Yeah I meant they are usually really expensive here, at least costing much more than the usual normal chinese noodles I eat.

I find thick noodles more expensive than the other ones too maybe they have a different market here.

...and all this food talk is making me envious I had plain pasta for lunch and will be having the same for dinner, sheesh.

Well, even rice noodles if you think... in Italy you buy a pack of rice noodles for €2,50 while a pack of italian pasta is about €0,50 ... there is really no comparison

My family likes to use muffin mix instead of baking muffins from scratch. We are just not very skilled with the baking.

Usually a bowl of udon here costs over 4 bucks or even more than 10 bucks when you eat at a restaurant, not really economical even though here serves mainly Asian dishes.

Now come to think of it, I'm craving for some confectionaries like cakes and stuff like that. The pictures of them I've been seeing on tv lately are imprinted in my mind now........

I've never really looked at the price of noodles before. I'll have to check next time I'm at the grocery store.

I always buy muffin mixes and I never make cake. But I do make my own cookies. I love fresh baked cookies.

Oh gosh that reminds me of the time when I lived with my cousins and they bought back a box of chocolate when they went holidaying in Australia and I ate them all before they could even touch it lol.

Never posted here before. I do enjoy to cook so I was happy to come across this thread. (Except for the fact that it's making me really hungry...I need to go eat breakfast at some point. lol )

Speaking of muffins...I love almond poppy seed muffins but have never been able to find a good recipe for them. Anyone know of a good one?

BTW - quarterley, great icon. I love that movie.
