Great suggestions

We should add them to the OP for future threads.

Cool so now we just need to pick one since we still have the 'TBD' title.

I really need to start reading again, except that I'm working on a paint by number kit that is taking my time. I probably going to start reading again once I finish it.

Cool so now the title needs to be changed

So far loving 'The Martian'. I'm on chapter 12.

There's a lot of math and sciencey stuff in it so I have to sometimes go back and re-read. Other than that though, a really cool book.

I liked Never Judge a Book by Its Movie.

Oh, well. Another time.

How much math and sciency stuff, Ron_Beckett? I don't mind reading stuff that goes six feet above my head, but I need to be able to follow most of what's going on, you know?

Not sure I understand the question but enough for me to have to re-read a time or two when it's included.

I mean, does the math and science overtake plot/character stuff?

Like, is this a novel with some math/science stuff in it or does it wind up being a lot about the math and science and less about plot/character?

Oh- I couldn't figure out what you meant.

I would say it's fairly even. You get a really great sense of the character but then because he is an astronaut/engineer/botanist those things come into play quite a bit that it can be tricky to follow (but educational if you're into that sort of thing). At the same time because most of the book is told from Matt's POV (the astronaut), you get a lot of him as a central character so the math and science doesn't become too overwhelming.

I'm a total book lover, but I do need to start reading more. My favourite series is still The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith.

I love the title suggestion: "Keep Calm and Read a Book"

I recently picked up "The Girl in the Spider's Web", by David Lagercrantz, the fourth instalment in the Lisbeth Salander (Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Series) and "Hollow City", by Ransom Riggs, the second in the Peculiar Children trilogy.

Sadly I'm not going to have internet for 6 to 8 weeks as i'm going to be taking care of an aunt of mine after she has surgery in relation to her cancer.

Thanks Ron_Beckett. That helps me figuring out whether I'd want to read the book or not. It sounds like I would probably enjoy it.

livstevi21 What is it about The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency that you like so much? You're not the first person I've met who's enjoyed the series a lot, but I don't have a clear sense about what the series is.

Millie Mae Good for you. That's the right thing to do for sure.

I'm in the process of trying to finish all the books I'd begun and put aside for another, because I do that a lot. So, right now, I'm reading:
