So far so good. My medication helps for the most part but if I even touch my arm or use it then the pain starts so that can't be helped or controlled by medication.

As crazy as it sounds I'm really looking forward to my NCV test so I can know just how bad the damage is. Finally.

I'm good, a bit of pain here and there but nothing major or unbearable.
Seems like the pills are really working, I just have to deal with the side effects, so far I've noticed abdominal bloating and no period.

Damn. More dizziness from the medication.

They said it would be between 2 and 3 weeks for my system to fully absorb it and for me to stop feeling this way. I seriously feel drunk without the alcohol. I'm dizzy some days and normal on others.

That right now is the upside. The first week I was dizzy all week and it was a total drag. These days it just happens sporadically.

At least no pain

I know that feel but me is because of heavy anxiety.
It got worse ever since my diagnosis, but I already suffered from anxiety before it, you can imagine what happens to an anxiety sufferer when they tell them they have a chronic disease not nice, but it was nice knowing it wasn't in mind

Val I completely know what you mean. Thankfully with my anxiety medication I never had any serious side effects. If anything I felt more alert and focused and able to do stuff and 'get out in the world' so to speak.

With this medication that I'm taking for pain though it's rough. I not only googled but asked the doctor and nurses and even called and did the research and a lot of them say it varies from person to person and at most can take up to 6 weeks for the side effects to be over and from what I'm looking at, that seems to be the case as I have a dizzy spell every other day.

It worries my parents but the neurologist I have is one of the best in my city so I do trust him and he's been doing this sort of thing for a very long time.

My mom even considered getting a second opinion but that could end up messing with the treatment I have now as my neuro doc wants me on this medication as a form of pain management and then he's going to do some tests on my arm where he attaches electrodes to measure the nerves and muscles. Then take it from there.

I considered seeing a neuro. But never did, mostly because I'm sick of doctors and tests tbh and every time I start feeling dizzy/numb/legit paralized I take my anxiety meds and it's gone in 10 minutes, so it has to be psychological, if it was neorological it wouldn't go away with that kind of meds. I'm feeling it now (in addition to endo-pain) ugh, I'm just waiting for meds to do the magic and fall asleep..

That's good that your meds are helping. So if the anxiety pills are working then yeah there probably is no purpose in seeing a neuro.

TBH I'm sick of doctors too. It's always been one thing after another and I hate it. It's gotten to the point where I'm even used to the routine blood testing to where I can look at them place the needle. Though the part that does trigger me is the smell of the rubbing alcohol (since I would use it to sterilize my tools during SI).

~*~*~

On another note, another day of dizziness. Yesterday it wasn't so bad. I was able to function and drive. Today I've been having to use the walls and tables and anything else to help me keep my balance. Upside the tiredness is gone.

And yesterday I had to pull out some meat from the fridge- holy fk, the cold caused so much pain in my hand.

~*~*~

Also yesterday my aunt and uncle found out about my neuro. appointment and the nerve problems and my aunt asked how it happened. I completely flubbed up because I cannot lie. I seriously can't. So I looked over to my mom who gave the "Need to Know" interpretation instead of the "Personal" interpretation.

~*~*~

So feeling the effects of the medication, my sister just smiled and told me to "sit back and enjoy it"
