Aussie OT #79: Its a time like this, when a boat comes in handy.

Banner by Kelly.

Welcome to the 79th Aussie Thread

Ok I'm to blame for the thread title. Today Black Friday, a main water pipe burst near South Perth and flooded the freeway, leaving lots of people stranded and little old me had to take the long route home .... so I couldn't help but think how cool it would be to own a boat and float down the freeway

yay, you found one...

you're in perth arnt you ? personally, i would go to somewhere like Makro Warehouse or crazy clark's, cheap place like that, buy a frame, pull out the print, and put your poster in that, it will work out a lot cheaper than going to a specialist framing place and getting it done..

well if its too big, maybe you can get some cardboard, cut it to the size of the frame, then put the poster in, so there will be a cardboard frame around the poster...

Hi everyone

I'm loving my JoA DVD's ... though I'm trying to pace myself and not watch them all at once

Your welcome Kelly

Oh thanks Fortunately my Mum called me on my mobile to tell me to catch the train, which was good as I think if I stuck with the bus it would of taken me forever to get home.

My Dad wants ADSL, as we've got 2nd computer in the gamesroom and complains how slow dial up is

ETA: I saw Upside of Anger today and it was very good

marica Have you tried getting the poster laminated ... it maybe cheaper

Just so I'm clear, re: the thread title, why exactly do we need a boat?

Doesn't really matter if the frame is a bit too big, coz like Jen suggested, just use some cardboard as a backing and it'll still look spiffy. You may even be able to stick a couple other photos in the frame with the poster if there's room, so you can get a whole little display/collage thing happening.

Its really for my benefit. One of the main water pipes burst yesterday in Perth and the water flowed onto the freeway south (my normal route home from work). The traffic was banked right back ... so I thought it would be a good idea to have a boat crusie down the freeway, just for me.

I know this is what happens, when I start the new thread, a titile that makes no sense what so ever

Yeah you should get the broadband it's cheaper then dial-ups and fast I LOVE it

My mum had to take her laptop back to Harvey norman yesterday it's got no card for the wireless....so it's going to Perth this week it's such a Pain, you know

So I'll be off and on coz my mum has to use my comp for her work stuff
