 Thanks for the new thread Kelly  Do you know if most laptops have the one year region thing going like your Mum's? I don't have any multi region thing installed on mine but my Bali pirated DVDs play just fine and the GG DVDs I got from America are working (I just watched the entire first season today. Still in my PJs!) but I've had my laptop for a year sometime this week so I'm hoping it doesn't lock onto one region |

Hi Lor, What happened to my DVD ROM is that it locked on Region 4 (the last DVD that I had played) I'm not sure on the time scale but its usually after about 5 changes is when it will lock. |

Thanks for the heads up though guys Ahh I don't care.. I'm pretty sure my other DVD player is multi region but I should test it with my GG DVDs tomorrow  Hah! It's almost 4am for me kinda and I'm so so tired but way too hot to sleep. Damn humidity |

I think it depends on what player you've got and what program you're using to view it in. My DVD ROM locked on me at the middle of last year and I brought an external one.
What time is it there Lor? Isn't it nearly 1am? |

They really need to give a detailed booklet on these region things when you buy computers/DVD players
Would save a lot of hassle!It's almost 1, but I'm still all jet lagged and 21 hours behind. Not cool. |
