I do, after all he lets his mother call him "ducky," so he doesn't seem to have a problem with pet names.

No I kinda get this! I could see it like um... if he'd forgotten an anniversary him saying 'Darling... scnookums... my songbird...' and then she gives him a look like 'don't even try!'
