I loved 2 a lot. My mother was grumbling about the lack of Vanessa but I loved the fact that the wildcats & Ryan got to bond. That really meant a lot to me.

My point exactly. But IDK. I think it was the fact it was central around Troy/Sharpay which I actually thoroughly enjoyed.

I'd actually agree that there was a lack of character growth for Gabriella. It barely skimmed the surface of her perspective of the whole scenario. Most of the extra deleted scenes we got on one of the DVDs were Gabriella centric which tells you that they cut a bunch of her moments. I'm primarily a Zac fan and I love the Troy/Sharpay dynamic and the TG bits we got were really cute so it doesn't really bother me so much, but there was a lack of Gabriella as an indiviudal character in her own right.

I think as I said before it was more Troy/Sharpay central which was an interesting take on things. HSM2 is definitely intriguing. I personally love the Ryan/Gabriella interaction.

I agree that there wasn't a lot of Gabi, but HSM2 was supposed to be Troy centric. I think they could have had her in it more than the few times we saw her, but -against my TG heart- I wouldn't have wanted her in scenes with Troy. I would want her with Ryan... or I always think that Chad and Gabriella would be extremely close I guess it's a guilty pleasure for their friendship

And I want a scene of Troy Bolton playing baseball damn it

Chad and Gabriella! That I would've loved to see more of and I think it could've fit beautifully into HSM2 as well

I'm in the club of people who argue that all of HSM is in fact Troy centric. It's about Troy and his crush/girlfriend/friends. I've had debates with this about people But Disney seem to sell it as being about Troy and Gabriella and if that is the case then HSM2 was imbalanced. But if its about Troy like I would argue it is, then definitely you make a valid point

Troy playing any sport would be hot... I'd love to see him slide into home to get a run... (did I use the right terminology )
