I think the 2010 rumor is coming from IMDB. It's all just an estimate right now. I would think if they started filming late January/early February on NM...we'll see it by the end of next year (2009). Just like Twilight!

December 2009 would be SUPER. ;)

Oh I didn't know that. I was thinking late 2009 already if they started filming in winer 2009 but it depends how the budget/filming goes I guess.

Well, I saw the movie for the 4th time today. And still love it as much as I did when I saw it on Friday. I just love, love the scene when Edward is playing the piano. Loved it in the book, loved it in the movie. I think it was just a simple scene, but the emotion was really shown in their faces.

Yeah..I'll probably be going again tomorrow to see it again.

the movie to me was disappointing. I liked it enough, but some scenes should have been better and Rob's acting was okay. He did pretty good but it was still...I don't know, spending months of looking forward to it, and to watch it on screen, made it even more settle that I like the book better. It just bugged me they didn't do the blood type scene, and the meadow scene could have been better. That all I have to say. Really. Maybe if I watch it again and hopefully that they have good deleted scenes in the DVD, which will probably come out in mid January or February. I LOVED the dream scene where she dreams of Edward for the first time, that was HOT!

same thing here. i don't have problem with Taylor as Jake in Twilight but in NM im not sure. they have to adapt the changes in how jacob looks for NM. Jacob's appearance is a huge part in the story for NM. it's gonna be impossible for Taylor to be mature, bulk up muscles, and the 6"5' height Jacob gained.

I was kind of disappointed with some of the stuff they changed from the movie to the book - some of it just seemed to be for now reason. The forest scene was one of those - I don't know why they chose to have Edward tell her everything in the forest instead of while out to dinner in Port Angeles. I also don't know why they didn't really do the meadow scene - I mean, they had that short shot of them lying down together when the sun breaks through, but instead of having that entire forest scene, they could have just done the meadow scene as it is in the book. It just confused me that they changed some of those things that really didn't need to be changed...

I think the casting was right on - each actor fit their character perfectly, IMO. I was impressed with Jasper, although he was a little funnier than I had imagined, and I wish they would have done that a bit more seriously since in New Moon, Jasper's struggle with the humans is what leads to the Cullens leaving in New Moon, but I still thought he did a great job. I was very impressed with Nikki Reed as Rosalie b/c I thought that might be a hard role to pull off and not seem fake or overacting, but she did it very well. Carlisle fit the best of any of the Cullens, IMO.

Overall, I wish they would have focused more on Bella and Edward's interactions (like the blood testing scene, the restaurant in Port Angeles, the meadow, etc) rather than relying on their "smoldering looks" to tell the story - I think the audience would have seen more of their relationship grow b/c in the movie, when they confessed to each other that they were each other's lives now, it felt so rushed and I felt bad for anyone who hadn't read the books b/c they really didn't get the full grasp of Bella and Edward's relationship...

I too thought it was rushed.. I didnt mind the changes i actually liked them, BUT like i said i though each scene was really beautiful! and it really didnt ruin anything for me. it really did stay true to the book, I thought the forest scenes and the meadow were great! the sparklying effect got two thumbs up for me.

I did find the running and the piggy back ride and flying through air quite cheezy though. but i expected that.

I loved all the cullens they were perfect!! jasper was my surprise.. but although nikki did a good job with rosalie, but im stil not feeling it. Alice was my favorite cullen besideds edward!

Victoria was my favorite baddie.. I actually was not impressed with James/Cam.. I dont know why, but i cant wait for victoria that shot of her at the end was superb!

The humas WERE GREAT!! Mike and Eric were HIlarious.. the human cast was perfectly cast and very well acted!

Bella and Edward were really great.. but i understand what you mean. :)

Gabriela 11-24-2008 09:50 AM

I agree that the sparkly effect was very well done - I had a hard time picturing it when reading but on screen it was really perfect

The running/climbing scenes were pretty bad :D I'm glad they included it in the trailers, though, because that helped prepare me a bit - I just kept thinking about the roadrunner cartoons

I liked some of the changes they made and I do understand that they obviously couldn't include everything (like the whole plan for going to Seattle, etc), but they changed some things that to me didn't make sense to change. I was actually happy with the stuff they added with the fieldtrip to the greenhouse/buses, etc - it was a nice additional scene. I did miss the scene where he first gestures for her to sit with him in the cafeteria and they talk (kind of like when she's at the buffet in the movie) but they replaced that scene well w/ the buffet scene and the fieldtrip scene :)

The one thing I wish they had included was the blood typing scene - I really missed it and I think that is a sort of turning point in their relationship too..

The baseball scene rocked and was one of my favorite scenes in the entire movie - I love Jasper's face after he hits the ball! :)
