I wonder if you watch the show first if the movie is just as good, or if you watched the movie first then you'll have difficulties with the show because you've seen Jim Carrey play him before Neil!

I have the DVD, so I don't have to worry about Netflix.

That's a great gif, Karen!

I think the books/movie/series are all different in their own right & I'm not gonna try to compare books to movie to series, etc., but just watch/enjoy them all with an open mind!

Yeah I'm gonna hold all of them on their own My plan is definitely "first four books, show, movie, then rest of books"

Thats a great question i think its everyone personsl interpretation of the book i always felt the book was very grimm more like the show but the movie has a lot of spots of humour which the book never showed and i enjoyed them for adding it in makes the movie way more enjoyable

That was my problem. Like Niel didn't make Olaf his own. He basically copied Jim's take on the character. He used the same mannerisms and ways of delivering the lines and mimicked Jim's voice in plenty of scenes. I just really wanted Niel to divert away from Jim, because no one can beat Jim's take on Olaf.

I guess that's also part of how the showrunners want Neil to make 'Olaf'

It's such a shame He produced it as well, so he MUST have done it intentionally.

I haven't seen the movie or read the books. But I have really loved Neil's portrayal of Count Olaf. I think he has done an amazing job
