I think the Wonder Years was one of the earlier tv shows where it wasn't only drama but comedy too. And the way it was filmed it seems to be one of the earliest comedies where there was no laugh track so you had to figure out what was funny on your own attention.... nowadays most comedy shows are not laugh track based with a studio audience... it was filmed like a mini movie. Back in the late 80's... I think it was one of the first that started that move. Part of what I like about that show.l. Each episode was like a mini-movie, either a drama or a comedy storyline.

You are right about that. There were some but TWY was among the earliest I can remember.

Do you think the show ended the right way? Did you want Kevin and Winnie together or did you think it was more realistic that childhood love like that doesn't last?

I wanted them to end up together. I am still not over the fact that they didn't end up together. I know it was realistic not having them end up together but I didn't care about realistic and still don't when it comes to these two, lol. I wanted them married with a bunch of kids.

My first two ships ever were Cory and Topanga and Kevin and Winnie. I ended up 1/1 for endgame. I wanted that 2/2! LOL
