It sounds a bit complicated but that is what makes it cool and interesting. If it were done today, the whole thing would probably be CGI.

I thought it was interesting (and just a coincidence?) that a year after "Police Academy", Steve Guttenberg and G.W. Bailey (Capt. Harris) played adversaries again in this movie.
