Yes. Stephen King wrote a sequel book two years or so ago and they are turning it into a movie.

I highly recommend you read the book first. As the original book was 100 times better than the movie, no doubt this will be the same. The book is called "Doctor Sleep". I dont' like the supernatural cult turn in it as much as the spooky "keep you guessing" of the original but it's a solid book.

Yeah, I agree. The "cult" thing didn't quite grab me either.
