They are still hammering out contracts. You see, "The Conners" came about fast because they already had deals in place for when the "Roseanne" revival had been renewed for another season before being canceled. This time, they had to start over again for season 2 of "The Conners".

Even though there doesn't appear to be much to do in Lanford and some have always talked about getting out of there, I have always liked the small town feel of it on the show.
