We do and we love them in the movie. We love to see them winning because it's like they were winning for a lot of people. By that I mean it was for the underdog as much as it was for the nerds.

Part 2 was released on this date in 1987. Certainly nowhere near as good as the first one, but it still had it's moments here and there. I remember the teaser trailer had the camera coming up behind a chair. A hand came out and answered the phone before Lewis looked out from the chair and said "We're baaaaaaack!"

It was. It was just too bad the sequel wasn't as good. Curtis Armstrong (Booger) knew it wasn't as they were filming. They had a different director who wasn't as cool or improvisational as the original director. He didn't think the new director even wanted to be there or direct.

The two made for TV sequels in the 90's were not very good. The second of the two, fourth overall, was "Nerds In Love". That wasn't as bad as the third. Booger falls in love and is getting married.

His fiancee came from a well to do family too who tried to break them up and stop this wedding. I mean, having a nerd nicknamed 'Booger' would not look good for them.
