I have been re-visiting these in the last two days. Watched the first two. I was struck by some things I forgot. The racism in it. There is a jewish kid and one of the main guys kept calling him a derogatory name. Plus, another kid said a not so good name for another race. Now, the kid who offended the jewish kid came around and they became friends in the end. In the second film, a native american was part of the school play and, well, the KKK was involved. Naturally, they all got their comeuppance.
