I loved these movies, especially the 1st and 2nd one. I do have to admit, I never knew Heather O'Rouke and Dominque Dunne had died til recently, it was so sad to learn this, I just adored Heather and her character as Carol-Anne.

Yeah, they both died way too. I think Dominique was in her early twenties when she was murdered (22 or 23ish, but I would have to look it up to be sure). Very upsetting. So very, very sad.

I've never been able to catch it. The deaths are all too freaky!

I was young when I saw Poltergeist I. I think it was my first horror movie. I remember I snuck into my sister's room and slept with her that night, I was so scared!

Okay, so what was everyone's freakiest memories of these movies?

Movie 1:
*When the son was looking in the mirror and picks at his face.
*That freakin' clown doll!
*When all the ghosts were coming down the staircase.

Movie 2:
*That freakin preacher dude!
*When the dad swallows the worm in the tequila and it grows bigger. Then he pukes up the worm and it has the face of the preacher dude!
*What the heck was the red jelly stuff in the bathtub?
*The skeletons in the swimming pool

This stuff still sends shivers down my spine.

Darn! I need to catch it next time. I remember my mom told me that Heather died so young. Man was I shocked. And I forgot Heather's character had an older sister. And finding now that she, too, passed on! Man!

I did. I would get so scared if I fell asleep in front of the tv and woke up in the middle of the night with the screen like that. It still chills me and I'm over 30!
