You can't replace Tom Selleck as Magnum... I against this idea of a reboot... He made the show magical. I am watching the series again, currently on Season 3 and it so fun BECAUSE of Tom as Magnum.

You can't bring it to a new decade and recapture that...

The reboot craze is going bonkers...

I feel the same way. At least if it was in the same timeline with the same actors, then there would be that feel and that connection. When you try to reboot it for the modern age, all of the magic is lost because a huge part of the magic is the era it was in.

They had the better idea last year when they wanted to a reboot centered on Magnum's daughter. THAT makes sense. This one, a new version of the show AKA like the new version of McGyver... you can't replace Tom. He made the series...

Now Lethal Weapon surprised me as a series because they managed to make it work as a series, and found two capable stars and especially as Riggs. But Magnum which was on television in the first place and was a classic because of the star...

They can't recapture it.

Yeah, I liked the daughter angle better. At least that way there was an opening for Tom to appear.

I haven't seen the LW show.

I won't be watching the reboot either. I watched the original series when it was on and Tom Selleck will always be Magnum, P.I.! I agree that they should've centered it around his daughter instead, that would've made more sense.
