This 1986 horror-comedy was produced by Sean S. Cunningham ("Friday The 13th") and directed by Steve Miner ("Friday The 13th 2-3", "Halloween H2O"). William Katt ("The Greatest American Hero") stars as Roger Cobb, a troubled writer who moves into his late aunt's big Victorian home and soon falls victim to the hauntings and weird goings on in the place. http://media.giphy.com/media/11FwAW4LMVA3rW/giphy.gif Trailer: George Wendt (Norm from "Cheers") and Richard Moll (Bull from "Night Court") co-star. http://dirtyhorror.com/wp-content/up...3/02/ta1XR.jpg https://media0.giphy.com/media/OC3hn3iOHwrK/200_s.gif https://myownpersonalhellblog.files....02/house-2.jpg |

I watched this the other night. It had been years so a lot of it was like new to me. It's goofy and just a lot of fun. Some cool make-up and stuff. Richard Moll and the big Ben zombie were really cool. George Wendt was fun.
Just the first.
i'll be watching tomorrow!
The sequel was not quite as good but it was fun and had goofy charm.
That's a winner.

There were actually 4 of these movies. The third one, however, wasn't even called 'House'. It was released as "The Horror Show" in 1989 but it was supposed to be 'House III'. The fourth film was "House IV" and it made a lot of people scratch their head wondering 'where was part 3?'
That is weird.
I love the "Cheers" connection with these movies. George Wendt (Norm) was in the first and John Ratzenberger (Cliff) was in the second.
What'd they play?
George played a neighbor and John played an electrician.
