This 1986 horror-comedy was produced by Sean S. Cunningham ("Friday The 13th") and directed by Steve Miner ("Friday The 13th 2-3", "Halloween H2O"). William Katt ("The Greatest American Hero") stars as Roger Cobb, a troubled writer who moves into his late aunt's big Victorian home and soon falls victim to the hauntings and weird goings on in the place.

Things don't always stay dead in this. Lol.

Melis 03-30-2017 08:46 PM

Oh, that's probably good. Well, at least fun to watch.

did you see both or just the first?

Barrybgb 04-12-2017 07:06 AM

I watched this the other night. It had been years so a lot of it was like new to me. It's goofy and just a lot of fun. Some cool make-up and stuff. Richard Moll and the big Ben zombie were really cool. George Wendt was fun.

way7 04-12-2017 07:06 AM

Just the first.

GardenSirens 04-12-2017 11:00 AM

i'll be watching tomorrow!

Barrybgb 07-31-2017 07:22 AM

The sequel was not quite as good but it was fun and had goofy charm.

Melis 07-31-2017 11:58 AM

That's a winner.

Barrybgb 03-16-2018 09:03 AM

There were actually 4 of these movies. The third one, however, wasn't even called 'House'. It was released as "The Horror Show" in 1989 but it was supposed to be 'House III'. The fourth film was "House IV" and it made a lot of people scratch their head wondering 'where was part 3?'

Melis 03-16-2018 05:22 PM

That is weird.

Barrybgb 07-24-2018 09:46 AM

I love the "Cheers" connection with these movies. George Wendt (Norm) was in the first and John Ratzenberger (Cliff) was in the second.

Melis 07-24-2018 12:15 PM

What'd they play?

Barrybgb 08-13-2018 07:31 AM

George played a neighbor and John played an electrician.
