Wait, I actually think that was part of the movie, the younger brother had a pollen allergy, but it didn't effect him because he was too small and the pollen was too big and there was some scientific thing that explained why it didn't effect him...

Yeah I can't remember the explanation but it had some scientific thing as to why it wasn't effecting him because of their size difference..
