I like dark christmas movies. This and Silent Night, Deadly Night do that very well!

You know, I was thinking of this whole "Is this a Christmas movie?" debate going on. Most people say this isn't a Christmas movie. "It's A Wonderful Life" is also referred to as the big, annual Christmas movie. However, the holiday hardly features into the movie until the last act in the 2hr. 15min running time. In "Gremlins", the whole movie takes place at Christmas and is filled with snow, lights, decorations and just an overall festive scene throughout the entire movie and it isn't considered a Christmas movie but IAWL is.
