Congrats to Bon Jovi! Just announced that they will be among the 15 inductees into the rock and roll hall of fame in 2011.

Other notable 80s inductees include Beastie Boys and J. Geils Band.

I believe the rule is that you have to be around for at least 25 years to be eligible. Bon Jovi's been around for about 28. Of course, that doesn't mean you are automatically in. There are some who've been around much longer who keep getting passed over(Kiss, Cheap Trick, Heart, Journey, Chicago, and so many more).

LL Cool J is also among the 2011 inductees. LL Cool J?! Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame?! Before Kiss and so many others?!
